You’re Not Alone is a FF9 fanzine that is about the wonderful characters that we know and love and the immersive world they live in. FF9 celebrates it’s 22nd anniversary on July 7th, that’s 22 years of sharing it’s incredible impact that it left on the world. Whether it’s a scene that stuck out to you, or a scenario you can see so clearly play out in your head, this zine wants to embrace the brilliance that is Final Fantasy 9.

JED’s programs are grounded in our Comprehensive Approach to Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention for Colleges and Universities and for High Schools. | ▢ What is this? | This is a fanzine, or zine! Which is a collection of fanart, fanfiction and more as a book to share with our fellow fans! We will also feature fan merch! In general, this zine represents essentially the world of Final Fantasy 9 in it's entirety. The world, the characters, and their story. It's a celebration of the game and everything it has accomplished throughout it's 22 years of life! You're Not Alone will focus on the main party, as well as the wide variety of NPC's and locations they encounter! |

| ○ Will I need a Discord? | Yes you will need a discord! It will be our main form of communication |
| ✕ Will typical nsfw content (ex. smut) be included in the zine? | This zine will be SFW! No NSFW content here! When it comes to violence, blood ETC. Since this is a Rated T game, some blood is allowed but we want to make sure this zine is accessible to everyone, so please use your best judgement! |
| ▢ Can I apply for multiple positions? | You definitely can apply for multiple positions, you might get chosen for only one, or two depending on what you put on your app! |
| △ What will be the contributor's compensation? | This is a charity zine. For their hard work, at minimum all contributors will be a getting the Digital PDF of the zine and all digital merch! The goal is to get everyone a free physical book if sales do well enough, and hopefully a full bundle! Any proceeds beyond that will be donated to the JED FOUNDATION. |
| ○ Will you be allowing ship content? | If the ship is seen in the game, absolutely! Overall though we want the focus to be on the character's themselves rather than a ship! |
| ✕ Will you be allowing AU's, canon divergence, or headcanons? | For the sake of the theme of the zine, AU's will not be allowed, however canon divergences/headcanons will be allowed to an extent! 'What If' scenarios like what the characters are up to in the future, or what if Kuja had been raised differently etc will be allowed to a certain point! The game has plenty of memorable moments to celebrate but we wouldn't be opposed to such ideas! |
| ▢ Will you be allowing LGBT+ content? | LGBT+ content will be allowed! But like the question above we are more gen then ship! |
| △ What rating will the zine be? | The Game is rated T for teen, and mentions war, death, blood, violence etc. Minor blood and depictions of fighting are allowed however no extreme gore! |
| ○ Will you be allowing traditional art? | Absolutely! We are more than happy to accept traditional art! Yoshitaka Amano is a brilliant traditional artist after all, creating essentially the creative spine for the series! |
| ✕ Do the characters have to be their canon age? | You're more than welcome to think of pitches that feature characters when they were younger, or them older in future imaginings! |
| ▢ Is there a particular timeline in canon that we have to stick to? | The timeline we'd mainly focus on is the main one in the game, but it is A OK to expand on character backstories, interactions and such! Like stated above minor divergences will be allowed to an extent! |
| △ If this is your finance mod's first zine, how can anyone vouch for them?? | Hey there! We understand the wariness, but we're here to put your mind at ease! I hand picked 'You're Not Alone's' team with tender love and care, wanting to make sure I had all our bases covered! I personally know our Finance Mod, they are a IRL Financial Advisor and Risk Analyst, and if it weren't for their support in the beginning, we wouldn't be here! As support we also have a Guidance Mod with us who is a seasoned zine pro in a multitude of categories to watch us every step of the way! You're in good hands! |

General Guidelines
- This will be a mostly gen zine! We want to represent the relationships and camaraderie between characters that are showcased in the game! We accept canon pairings from the game (e.g. Beatrix/Steiner, Zidane/Garnet) as long as there's a equal balance!
We will cover all the facets that this game has to offer!- A new piece must be made for this zine! No previous pieces can be reused for this zine's content. Instead, you can show off your previous ones in your application!- Please follow the schedule, templates, and specs given (CMYK, 300 DPI, template size).
We will provide the templates!- You must at least 17 by the time of applications to apply (August 6)!

- Please link three samples that showcase your best/favorite works!- Please also link a portfolio that contains up to 5-10 works that you consider your best.- Acceptable Portfolios include: Google Drive (turn sharing ON), Carrd, Deviantart, Artstation, Art Twitter, Art Tumblr, Google Photos. Because of the difficulty viewing, please NO Instagram!- At least one piece needs to have a complete composition and a background.- Having FFIX or FF samples are recommended, but not required!- No NSFW samples please! (Having them in your portfolio is okay)- We will be taking these things into consideration: style, anatomy, color, composition, background.- If you are a traditional artist, please make sure your scans are high quality (at least 300DPI)!Merch Guidelines
